About the job:
The Red Hat engineering team is looking for a software engineer across EMEA to join the one of the leading development teams at Red Hat, to build a next-generation platform for container build, testing, and release service to deliver products and services using open hybrid cloud technologies securely. In this role, you will work on developing, maintaining, and operating the next-gen productization pipeline, a managed service running on Red Hat’s latest open source technologies, such as Kubernetes, Tekton, GitOps, ArgoCD, and Openshift.
In the new role, you will assist in building containerized cloud services for Red Hat products and customers that enable a quick, secure, and straightforward way to deliver container images.
You will work closely with Red Hat’s leading product development, QE, SRE, product management, and other stakeholders worldwide, working in an agile environment to deliver the next-generation services for Red Hat products and customers.


What you will do:
  • Be a vital member of the team that develops features and bug fixes
  • Take part in on-call rotation ( during working hours ) to support users using the managed service
  • Work with open source communities such as Tekton, Kubernetes and submit upstream code for review
  • Participate in code reviews for peers and other developers
  • Work in a global team, including teams in EMEA, NA, and possibly APAC

What you will bring:
  • Ability to work in a new and fast-changing environment. Reacting to changes in requirements quickly
  • Willingness to learn and adapt new skills and technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science
  • At least 3 years of experience writing code in Golang, JAVA, or Python
  • Experience working on shared codebases using source control management (SCM) systems like GitHub or GitLab
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience working with Linux
  • Experience building and running containerized applications and Kubernetes, mostly using Golang
  • Experience in Tekton or ArgoCD is a plus
